This means that all the data on GPS tracks, task notes, photos, etc. will be stored in the device memory. Once the Internet connection is restored, the information will be automatically transmitted to the server.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][\/vc_tta_accordion][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>To grant access:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Head to <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Applications or Application Manager<\/strong> (depending on your device).<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>X-GPS Tracker<\/strong> application.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Permissions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>To grant permission to Location and Memory, toggle the slider to the right. The color will change to green.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=&#8221;run-in-background&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Run in background<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>In order to receive location updates when the X-GPS app is minimized or the screen is locked, you should allow running in the background.<\/p>\n<p>To enable this option:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Head over to <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Applications<\/strong> or <strong>Application Manager<\/strong> (depending on your device).<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>X-GPS Tracker<\/strong> application.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <strong>Data usage<\/strong> or <strong>Traffic control<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n<li>Enable data transfer in the background. The toggle switch will turn gray.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=&#8221;battery-optimization&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>Battery Saver<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p>On some Android devices, power management settings meant to prolong your battery life can interfere with your app functionality, for ex., to force the application to quit if your smartphone or tablet computer has not recorded movements for a long time. To prevent the X-GPS application from being stopped by the system, we recommend to add it to the list of not optimized apps.<\/p>\n<p>To do this:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Head over to <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Tap <strong>Battery<\/strong> or <strong>Power<\/strong> (depending on device).<\/li>\n<li>Open the <strong>Battery Optimization<\/strong> section.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Note.<\/strong> This section can be also found in Advanced Settings by clicking on the three points at the top of the screen.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Filter<\/strong> and select <strong>All applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>X-GPS Tracker<\/strong> and opt for <strong>Don\u2019t optimize<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;ancor-list&#8221;] Location and memory access Run in background Battery Saver [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_id=&#8221;access-to-location&#8221;] Location and memory access [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] Location services must be on in order for the X-GPS application to track an employee\u2019s location and direct it to the service.
